NIEW organize a forum on New Economic Model |
|  NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women (NIEW) on 9 April 2010 took the initiative to organize a forum on the recently announced Malaysia’s New Economic Model (NEM) as part of the NIEW Gender Series programme. This series provided the platform for discussion and to get feedbacks from the audience for NEM especially in view of its significance to women.

| NIEW Resource Centre has organized a program Library Open Day & Exhibition with the theme Treasuring Knowledge through Reading, at the Lobby Wisma Sime Darby, Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur. This program lasted for two days, 2nd and 3rd of March from 10am to 4 pm. The Programme has been launched by Y. Bhg. Datuk Norhayati Sulaiman (Secretary General, Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development). |

NIEW Conducted Course on Protocol and Etiquette |
 On 1 March 2010, NIEW has conducted a Course on Protocol and Etiquette at Swiss Garden Hotel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. conducted fully by Datuk Rafiah Salim, Director of NIEW. The main reason why NIEW has organized this course is because of NIEW’s Core Business, where most of the times the officers need to deal with NAM Countries Ambassadors, VIP’s and this needs a relevant knowledge on etiquette for all the officers. Three major topics covered were Introduction to Etiquette, Social Etiquette and Table Etiquette. |

MINISTER’S LUNCHEON WITH AMBASSADORS THE RITZ CARLTON, KUALA LUMPUR (11 FEBRUARY 2010) |
|  NAM Institute for the Empowerment of Women (NIEW), has organised the Minister’s Luncheon with Ambassadors hosted by Hon. Dato’ Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil on 11 February 2010, at The Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. 60 Ambassadors from various countries has graced the event. This event was also attended by the Deputy Minister, Hon. Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun and all head of agencies under the Ministry.
